I don’t often post a link to another site, as there is a lot of misinformation out there, but I thought I’d send you to this blog post about natural dyeing.
It’s something I’ve enjoyed, and worked with on my own, but I don’t have a proper set up here and it’s difficult to fit it into my timetable. Hopefull that will change in the future. I’d love to teach a class on the basics, though. No doubt the weather in California is a great help!
Urchfont was a great success! Yards of fabrics and literally hundreds of colours. I haven’t worked out how many were possible, and how many of them were actually dyed, but I will do that later today. I’ll also be posting a longer account of the weekend. Below is just part of what you missed, and there’s a little more here.
